Joy D. Bonner is a litigation associate at Strickland Debrow LLP, where she represents clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters. Her practice includes the preparation and analysis of dispositive motions, conducting depositions, representing clients in mediations, and arguing motions in court. Joy brings experience handling complex legal issues across various industries, including healthcare, government, and corporate sectors.
Prior to joining the firm, Joy practiced with respected law firms in Atlanta and Savannah, where she represented hospitals, public entities, and corporate clients in matters involving medical malpractice, employment law, construction disputes, and contract litigation. Her early legal experience includes externships focused on NCAA compliance and intellectual property issues relating to student-athlete rights.
Joy earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies, summa cum laude, from Georgia Southern University. She is admitted to practice in Georgia and is active in the legal community as Chair of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division Sports Law Committee. Outside of work, Joy is passionate about mentorship, youth development, and community engagement.
